Savoir Faire ( The Devil) Is Everywhere

Good afternoon and Happy Friday. Growing up I was one who loved cartoons. One of my favorite was Bugs Bunny. I liked how he had several characters that wanted to do him harm but never could. I also liked The Roadrunner who could always out Wil E Coyote. But one the cartons that interested me was Klondike Kat. Klondike Kat was a cartoon character who was a Canadian Mountie that is like being a policeman. Klondike Kat had a nemesis who a mouse always stole from others and his name was Savoir Faire. Savoir Faire had a saying that went as " Savoir Faire is Everywhere". Although this character was not real there is some one who is real, and that is the Devil and please know he is everywhere. Savoir Faire ( The Devil) Is Everywhere.
I have two wonderful jobs that I enjoy. Even though I work in the customer service industry and deal with many people I enjoy what I do. I am going to college and have been on the Dean's List for all
the time I have been going ( that is 10 straight quarters and I thank God for allowing me to do this). I still am angry, sad and confused at times and I think I know why. Savoir Faire ( The Devil) Is Everywhere.
In going to the Word Of God to illustrate that Savoir Faire is Everywhere I go to  Genesis 3:1-5. In these scriptures we see how the serpent ( The Devil ) was able to make a great situation like living in
the Garden of Eden, into an angry situation. Most of us are living decently and still are not happy because we are always angry and distracted by the Devil. Savoir Faire ( the Devil) is Everywhere.
In going to the Word of God again for this teaching of Savoir Faire is Everywhere I go to Job 1:6-7. In these verses Satan is in the presence of God after he has been to and fro on the earth looking to
cause sadness among those who inhabit the earth. Even today as we wonder why we are sad all the time when life should be good it is because of Satan. Savoir Faire ( The Devil) is Everywhere.
In going to the Word of God once more for this teaching of Savoir Faire is Everywhere I go to Matthew 4:1-11. In this passage we see where Satan is trying to confuse the Son of God about who is
really in charge. Among the people of God Satan attempts to confuse us about which denomination is the right one or which church is truly anointed. Savoir Faire ( the devil) is Everywhere.
In closing we must equip ourselves to the tricks of the Devil. We must be proactive and seek guidance in the Word of God. We must attend things such as Sunday School and Bible Study. We must be prepared for when the enemy is tying to make us angry, sad and confused. For like the cartoon character Savoir Faire, the Devil is Everywhere. May God bless those who read this and have a Merry Christmas.

Chosen

Good afternoon and Wonderful Wednesday. Growing as a boy on the southside of Chicago my friends and I played sports. The sports would range from strike out, softball, football and even basketball. Unlike in most sports there was never a set team. Captains would be responsible for picking who they wanted on their teams and most times would pick there friends first or someone with athletic ability that would make their team a winner. I was always younger than others and a bit overweight so there would be times that I had to hope that someone picked me. As I grew older and finally embraced the Word of God like I should have there is no longer a question if I have been picked. I had been Chosen.
In beginning this teaching I want to define the word chosen and I go to my source of definitions and that is dictionary.com. Chosen means as follows; selected from several; preferred. As we go on with
our everyday existence we have been selected from several to be part of the kingdom of God. We are also preferred as we have been tried and tested and came out still blessed. It is because your are Chosen.
In the first example for this teaching on Chosen I go to Ezekiel 1:28. In previous verses (1-27) Ezekiel saw some things he had never saw before and had to wonder what it was. Then once he knew
the voice belonged to God he then knew that he was Chosen. Most times we as a people of faith have assignment that may seem to virtually impossible but we are selected from several to perform what God has for us. We are Chosen.

As I continue in the Word of God for this teaching of Chosen I go Matthew 4:18-22. In this passage Jesus picks out four men who were not the most learned and considered by people of this time to be
as not as important as the Pharisees, the scribes and the Saduccees. Many of us have what to some perceive as a lack of income or prestige in the eyes of the world but it does not matter as we have been Chosen to do the work of the Lord.
In coming to the last example from the Word of God for this teaching on Chosen I go to Revelations 17:13-14. In these verses it speaks of how people in the world are content on destroying the
kingdom of God in the last days. But those who are with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords have been deemed not only faithful but Chosen as well. We must continue to walk with God even in these troubling times.
In closing the work of the Lord is done by all those who accepted God as the Father, Jesus as the Son and the Holy Spirit as their guide. Being Chosen is not easy and the scriptures I shared in this lesson is a prime example of that. Ezekiel was a captive which means a prisoner, the disciples endured, heckling, beatings and even death in the name of Jesus, and even towards the last day there are things that want to war with the people of God. God selected us all from several walks of life and we are also preferred anybody else We are the Chosen no matter what your assignment in the Kingdom of God is. I give God all the honor and glory for this teaching. God bless each one that reads this teachings. Attend the Sunday School of your choice and learn how you can spread the gospel.

School Daze

Good morning and Wonderful Wednesday. At one time or another in our lives all of have gone to some kind of school. Some of us have gone to school in a one room shack with many grades in the same course room. Some of us have been to the best private schools all over the country. And then some of us have attended public school that more times that not graduated most of us if not all of us. Then we we got into the world we continue to learn as the jobs and careers changed or evolved and we had to learn or there would be some one else taking our position. Most times once we profess that Christ is our Savior and we get to a certain point we cannot be "educated" any more than what we are, Sunday School and Bible Study becomes the things we put down. But we wonder why the world stays ahead of us and it is because we as a people of God are in a School Daze.
As we get that Ph.D. in Christology there is nothing that any one can teach or even those that we know anything. We can tell you the particular scriptures and the people who wrote it and we will not
let some seasoned saint or even someone younger than us teaching us something we already know. But if your job tells you to come in for training there is no question. We are in a School Daze.
As we begin the Biblical portion of this teaching I begin in Deuteronomy 31:19-21. In these verses Moses is writing a song to be taught to the children so that it will be his testimony of how once the
people of God get to the land of milk and honey how they will forget about God. With the advent of technology it is imperative that we never forget to continue strengthen ourselves more and leave from being in a School Daze.
In coming to the second example in the Word of God for this teaching on School Daze I go Proverbs 4:1-10. In this passage the writer talks of how when we embrace the instructions of God that we get
wisdom and understanding that in turns gets us a crown of glory. As the world grows stronger we must continue to receive instructions to not let the world's view of wisdom and understanding cloud what God has for us. We cannot be in a School Daze.
In ending in the Word of God for this teaching on School Daze I go to Ephesians 4:20-24. In this passage Paul is letting the people of Ephesus and those of today that we know the truth because we
instructions given to us from Jesus and need to continue becoming new and and like God. With the teachings that happen in Sunday School there we have a way to fight the ignorance of the world. We shall not be in a School Daze.
In conclusion there was a time that Sunday School was a prelude to the Worship service. It gave us a additional teaching along with the Word of God being preached. I allowed Holy Spirit to be part of your whole day experienced, But some of us have gotten away from these classes that can only strengthen us all. I urge you all today to become stronger in your knowledge of the Word of God. Continue to train as you would one your job or in school. There are people that God has called to teach his Word. Let's not be adverse to Sunday School because of being in a School Daze. May God bless each and everyone and I give him honor and glory for this teaching. Please come the VKMI Rhema Word (Sunday School) or attend you own church's Sunday School.

Compensation and Benefits

Good morning and Wonderful Wednesday. Although there are some that may not have to because of various reasons, the majority of people in the world have to work for a living. Some may be at a job that they do not like but need to be there to survive. Others are enjoying being able to be in the career of their choice and enjoy their work. Across the board everyone expects something for their work even if they volunteer. Most of the times this comes in a package of Compensation and Benefits. Those who may not be  connected to God are missing out on a great Compensation and Benefits package.
Before I get into the Biblical portion of this teaching let me define the words compensation and benefits. Compensation means; something given or received for services. Benefits means: something
that is advantageous or good. Most times when we accept work we look at what is given for services and how advantageous is it. The next three paragraphs will give examples from the Word of God of
Compensation and Benefits.
In looking at the first example of Compensation and Benefits in the Word of God I go to Joshua 1:1-9. In this passage of scripture God speaks to Joshua to instruct him that the people of God may now
enter into the land that was promised to them. The land was something given to them by God but the people of God had an advantage because they trusted God would allow them to prosper and be with them wherever they go. Compensation and Benefits.
In looking at the next example of Compensation and Benefits in the Word of God I go to Mark 5:25-34. In this passage of scripture we see where the woman has had an issue of blood. But she knew that
just a touch of the garment of Jesus would allow her to be given something that would be good for her, a healing. Her faith allowed her to receive Compensation and Benefits.
In looking at the last example of Compensation and Benefits in the Word of God for this teaching I go to Acts 10:34-46. In this passage of scripture Peter is speaking to the family of Cornelius, who are
Italian and therefore was not privy to the Compensation and Benefits at first. But we can see that they received the services of something great, the Holy Spirit came into their lives and they were now able to have their Compensation and Benefits.
In closing when you start a job you receive a handbook and it usually explains what your Compensation and Benefit packages are. In this teaching I just gave three examples in the Word of God of the Compensation and Benefit packages. For those who don't know Christ as your Savior I urge you to read the Bible to see how great the Compensation and Benefit packages are. For those who are already part of this Compensation and Benefit package please continue expect greater. To God I give all the glory and honor for this teaching.

Progress - it's not about perfection!

How powerful is this?  "Progress not Perfection"  Many times we feel the pressure to be perfect in all our ways and endeavors.  When we learn and accept that God does not require perfection, He only asks us to continue to 'seek out your own salvation' (in other words, seek our your purpose) Phil. 2:12.  It allow us to be free to move into our PURPOSE  one step at a time, because each step is progress.   We can even be like Bob about it... 'baby steps' toward progress... so, today, make the decision to start or continue your progression... give up the self-inflicted human requirement ---to be perfect.

False Positives

Good afternoon and Thankful Thursday. As I begin this teaching there have been times in all of our lives that we have been told things, gotten reports or did not think we could accomplish something because of what others have told us. We then have a tendency to believe these things and make them truths about ourselves. But even though they seem true they are not. We as a people of God are being told False Positives.
In seeking the definition of the phrase false positive I go to dictionary.com. False positive means as follows; a test result that is incorrect because the test indicated a condition or finding that does not
exist. There are so many of us who have been told the wrong things such as our health is failing, our jobs are not secure or our homes are being loss. The next three paragraphs will give examples in the Word of God of false positives.
In going to the first example if a False Positive in the Word of God I go to Numbers 22:22-35. In this passage Balaam attempts to go against what God has told him to do. The lure of money or fame
was too great for him to not to see a condition that did not exist. But we have an awesome God who will give us the right diagnosis even when we do not think that it can happen, False Positive.
In looking at the second example in the Word of God of a False Positive I go to Daniel 3:8-25. In this passage we see where three Hebrew boys refused to allow themselves to serve a golden image that
could not measure to the blessings and the favor that God provided for them. There are those who want your condition to be something that is not true. It is a False Positive.
In looking at the last example of False Positive in the Word of God I go John 19:5-16. In this passage the chosen people of God have a chance to make everything right and free Jesus and acknowledge he
is the Son of God. But they refuse and want him to be out of their lives. Most of us have been told by people of God that we are not going to do this or that but God is in control not man. False Positive.
So in closing I want to encourage you on today although you have been told that your play or television idea will not work, your idea for a social media site is whack and your business idea will not work that your are dealing in the false positive. Those who say that you cannot start that new school or change the binding aspects of religion are dealing with the false positive. And to those who say you will not win elected offices or make a difference in the lives of family are dealing in the false positive. Trust God and he will make all come to pass. If you can please come to Rhema Word 2.0 at Valley Kingdom East or West and to services afterward or please attend Sunday School or services near you. Have a great week,

Boom: I Got Out

Good evening and Happy Tuesday. As I was growing up there was peer pressure like you never could believe. Although I grew up in a church with all of my cousins and some people who were not blood related but we considered them family, when I got in my hood and saw those who did not go to church I felt like an outcast. They did things, saw movies and were able to stay out late while I could do none of these things. I began to rebel and in this stage I did things that seemed to break me free of the shackles of being a part of God. But these things only made my life worse and although it took me many years I was able to find God again. I left the life of being part of Satan and it was not easy but, BOOM: I Got Out.
It was not easy getting because now I had habits that were daily and they took up some of my day. I read the newspaper daily but I had to have a joint (marijuana), a cigarette and it depended the time of day, a beer
and a shot. My performance at my jobs started to suffer. My relationship status with whomever I was with would be labeled as complicated. I did not even have self esteem to want to keep myself groomed. One day I saw myself and wondered whom I was. Change was needed. BOOM: I Got Out.
In looking in the Word of God for an example of BOOM: I Got Out I go to Exodus 14:5-22. In this passage of scriptures the people of God were cornered and had no way out. Although Pharaoh gave his word he
decided that he wanted to keep the people as slaves. As things in my life began to change I saw that smoking weed everyday for the rest of my life was not what I wanted to do and no one who I hung around was not going to pressure me any more. BOOM: I Got Out.
In looking in the Word of God for another example of BOOM: I Got Out I go to Nehemiah 4:11-23. In this passage Nehemiah and the people of God are attempting to build their community up and the enemy sees
this at upsetting his progress. As I began to drift away from drinking everyday the people who I used to drink said I had changed, was acting funny, or would come around and try to entice me to drink. It was too late. BOOM: I Got Out.
In looking at the last example of BOOM: I Got Out in the Word of God I go to Acts 23:11-22. In this passage Paul is imprisoned and his enemies are determined to kill him to not let his message be heard any
more about Jesus dying to free us from sin. As my life began to get better the last thing I did was quit smoking cigarettes. Those who saw me as a person who had cigarettes all the time decided when I was no longer of use to them to talk badly about me and my character. That was cool because, BOOM: I Got Out.
In closing once I was free of the things that were habit forming and were keeping me down I became a better person. I am still growing daily and there are many things I still have to change. But as God parted the sea for his people he will do it for me as well as you. As God sought to build up his community by appointing Nehemiah to help build so can you and I. And just because the enemy seems to have a plan to harm you like they tried to get at Paul does not mean that will be happen to you or me. We have been blessed by God, wash by the Blood of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit. For those of you who think that there is not way out. BOOM: You Can Get Out.

Let's Put Them Down

Good evening and Friendly Friday. As we get deeper into the year I am going to urge each and every person to keep the faith, stay strong, have confidence in what you are doing or plan to do, be aware that you are a star, a Champion, never ever to be defeated, a person who loves God and he loves you even more, a believer that Jesus came to cleanse the world of sin and after his ascension into his place on the right hand of God he provided the Holy Spirit as a comforter. I encourage you with these words today and pray that you have the strength to overcome certain things. One of them being as sure as the day is long someone or a group will have the goal of saying Let's Put Them Down.
When you are a walking this walk you are going to be looked at through a magnifying glass. If you buy a new car you are trying to show off. If you buy a new house they are going to say you can't afford it. If you help
others by feeding the poor, praying for them or offer encouraging words then you may be phony or looking out for you own interest. No matter what you do or what you say their agenda is Let's Put Them Down.
In looking in the Word of God for this teaching of Let's Put Them Down I first go to 1st Samuel 8:4-9. In this passage the people are talking about and behind his back that they refuse to be judged by his sons. They
did not know that as they rejected Samuel that they also rejected God as well. No matter if you took the time to mentor the youth you still would not be good enough for those who say Let's Put Them Down.
In the next example in the Word of God for the teaching of Let's Put Them Down I go to Jeremiah 18:18. In this passage the leaders of the day are going to make sure that things stay status quo and hating on those who
attempt to go against the flow. All over the world you have those who are attempting to oppress the people of God and suppress the gospel of Christ. These are those that daily say Let's Put Them Down.
In looking at the last example in the Word of God of Let's Put Them Down I go to Matthew 27:37-44. In this passage as Jesus is dying on the cross to cleanse our sins there are those who still are giving him shade
by mocking, laughing and provoking. As they did these things to Jesus they will attempt to do more to you that you could ever imagine. This is how they live. Their mantra is Let's Put Them Down.
As we come to the conclusion of these teaching please know that God is the end all and be all. He will only allow so much to even fester in your life. Your strength lies in his teachings, the Blood of Jesus and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. They will protect you from the backstabbers, the haters and those who attempt to shade you. You are more than conquerors. Please remember that. May God bless all those that read this teaching and I give him all the glory and honor for using me as his vessel.

This teaching was done by the technology teacher for Rhema Word 2.0 Frederick Wesley. He would like to continue to urge everyone to attend Rhema Word 2.0 classes at Valley Kingdom East after services or before service at Valley Kingdom West. If you cannot attend services here check out Sunday School near you.

Who Do You Run To?

Good evening and Marvelous Saturday. In the city of Chicago there is a back to school parade held each year called the Bud Billiken Parade. This parade is held on the south side of the city and is attended by politicians, church leaders as well as the ordinary citizen. The picnic is a source of civic pride for the city and should be a source of relaxation and fun for all involved. This year, actually a few hours ago, two young men were shot at the picnic. The reports say that once the shots were heard that the crowd in the area scattered. In the midst of temptation, violence and scandal I ask this question, Who Do You Run To?
In this day and age many of us are on the run. We run to the store. We run to train station. We run to stay healthy. Our lives are moving at the speed of light globally. We are running so much that we forget that the
Chicago Police officers stwith 18-year-old man shot arm Bud Billiken parade Saturday afternoon. | TinSfondeles / Sun-Times
we should be running to God to seek the answers that we need. The young man pictured above was originally running away from the scene after being shot but had to come back to get help from authorities. As I go into the Word Of God for examples my question is Who Do You Run To?
In going in the Word of God to find the first example of Who Do You Run To I go to Judges 3:1-6. In this passage God has left some enemies in the midst of the people of God so they can teach those who were not
familiar with war how to fight the enemy. The people back then as we do today slipped into temptation and started doing things like serving other gods. The same temptation is where we at times run to instead of God. Who Do You Run To?
In In looking at the second example in the Word of God of Who Do You Run To I go to 1st Kings 19:1-3. in this passage Elijah, who has seen the power of the Lord work by his hand and actions runs for his life after
threatened with violence by Queen Jezebel. People in general seek to hide in the face of violence and not seek God to turn the situation around.. As Elijah was so are we. Who Do You Run To?
In going to the last example in the Word of God to for this teaching on Who Do You Run To I go to Galatians 2:1-5. In this passage Paul is writing a letter to the believers in Galatia about how a scandal was
brewing in the church about who had the right to be believers of Jesus. In the church today there is scandal over how services should be conducted, what doctrine deserves more attention and how to keep the church next door from taking our members instead of going to God for guidance. Who Do You Run To?
In conclusion in each of the passages of scriptures that I shared if you read further none of them had to really run to God. The solutions were already there as God was already in the midst of it all. He is there in the midst of temptation to pull you out if you allow him. God is there to save your from violence and put you in the arms of safety. God is there to fix any scandal that may seek to enter your life. God is everywhere. Who Do You Run? Prayerfully you run to God. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching as I was tired but he gave me strength and allowed Holy Spirit to provide a title and examples in the Word of God. I hope that those who can will make it to Rhema Word 2.0 at Valley Kingdom East or West or attend Sunday School somewhere to get the teachings needed to help guide us of Who To Run To? Have a great week all. I am expected some guest teachers coming up this month so please look out for them.

This teaching was taught by Fred Wesley in conjunction with the Holy Spirit. Fred Wesley is the Technology Teacher for Rhema Word 2.0. Please go tour Facebook Page as well.
