Good evening and Wonderful Wednesday. When I came to work today I was in a great mood. The weather was just right, there was free lunch at the job and even my boss was in a great mood. But where I work there is change in the air as takeover is about to take place. You would think that the mood would be cloudy and gloomy but not so. And after speaking to the CEO today I could see why. His attitude was not to think of lost jobs but to come out with electricity and energy to show the prospective buyers that the people that work here are vital and important. Many of us have had things that seem to want to takeover in our lives But our CEO, God want to to continue to have Electricity and Energy.
In beginning this I want to first define the two words in this teaching, electricity and energy. In going to my source of definitions I go to dictionary.com. The word electricity means as follows; a state or feeling of
excitement, anticipation or tension. The word energy means as follows; capacity for vigorous activity, an exertion of such power, and the ability to lead others. We as believers should have all of these things. I go into the Word of God in the next three examples to show Electricity and Energy.
In going to the Word of God for this teaching of Electricity and Energy I begin in Exodus 1:1-19. In this passage of scriptures the people of God had just resisted a takeover by Pharaoh made it to the other side of
now have a feeling of excitement as they now see the capacity for vigorous activity in beginning to spread how the powerful God is. We have made it to the other side in our lives but work is needed to spread the gospel and people with Electricity and Energy are needed.
In looking in the Word of God in this teaching of Electricity and Energy I go to Psalms 51:10-13. In this passage the writer speaks of having the presence of the Holy Spirit and how precious its power is. The
anticipation of the exertion of such power that we have in the Holy Spirit is important to help not only guide us daily but give us what is needed to do the work of continuing to advance the kingdom by saving the lost. This can be done with those with a spirit of Electricity and Energy.
In looking at the last example in the Word of God in the teaching of Electricity and Energy I go to 10:19-24. In this passage the writer speaks of how Jesus has washed our sins away and that we must exhort, love and
do good works. As Jesus died and rose again there has continued to be a state of tension of the ability of the people of God to lead others. We have been cleansed and just by that we all should be of Electricity and Energy to tell others about Jesus.
In conclusion there are many places we could use Electricity and Energy. Our Sunday School programs could use those with Electricity and Energy. Our outreach programs could use those with Electricity and Energy. Our homes and communities could use and injection of Electricity and Energy. In our schools there is a need for Electricity and Energy. In social media there is a need for Electricity and Energy. We have all the power to change things in such a way but will we use our Electricity and Energy or let it go to waste. I pray that is not the case. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching and pray that all who read and those who may not be touched to move forward the Kingdom of God.
