Never Give Up

Good afternoon and Thankful Thursday. One of the things I have issues with was anything that had to do with math. I barely got out of high school with low grades in math. Now that I have gone back to college I had to take two courses in math, one College Algebra and the other Statistical Literacy. At first I did not want to try but then I said decided to give it my best. I wound up with a C in the Algebra and a A in the Statistical Literacy. It showed me that as a believer of Christ we should Never Give Up.
We as the people of God have so many things that we can be and do what we want to when we place God first. Some of us want to to movies. Others want to be a successful business person. Many see
their future in a faith based social media platform while there are people who see their future in the educational process. In each of these case as well as others you have to trust God and Never Give Up.
In going to the Word of God for this teaching of Never Give Up I begin in Numbers 14:1-10. In this passage of scriptures there has been resistance by the people of God to go into the land that God had
promised them but Joshua and Caleb had that faith to trust in God. No matter of the crowd wanted to stone them, Joshua and Caleb were not afraid of them or the giants in the promise land. Never Give Up.
In going back to Word of God for this teaching of Never Give Up I go to Jeremiah 1:4-10. In these verses we see where Jeremiah is called as a youth to do the work of God. At first he gives up because
he is so young. But God comes in and places the words in his mouth and has set him over nations and kingdoms. There is nothing to hard for God. Never Give Up.
As we finish the Biblical portion of this teaching of Never Give Up I go to Daniel 1:12-20. In this passage we see where Daniel, Hanaiah, Mishael and Azariah knew that trusting in God would make a
difference in their lives. They refused to conform to what the world had for them and chose to put God first in their lives, even after being taken captive. Never Give Up.
In closing you can do whatever you put your mind to as long as you allow God to be the head of your life. You can run for that government office. You can be that person who makes a difference in the areas of family. You can be that person who makes others look at some of the outdated religious practices. As the men I just wrote about in the Bible did, so can we as we have the serve the same God. Never Give Up.

The Good Example ( Part 1)

Good afternoon and Thankful Thursday. In the world today there are so many negative things to see. On television we see the news where people are getting arrested for doing things that are not right. We see on the Internet things from fights to sexual content to insanity. We see in the streets how men are berating women and being a baby mama or daddy is like a badge of honor. The world sees this and thinks it is cool. And some times there is tendency for the people of faith to get caught up in these things. We need not to conform to the world but need to be that Good Example.
As I begin this teaching I want to define the key word and that is example. In going to dictionary.com, which is my source of definitions, example means as follows; a pattern or model; to
imitated; and an instance serving as an illustration. We as men and women of God have to set the pattern for those who are lost in the world. We must have our Godlike actions imitated and we must be that illustration for others to want to be part of the Kingdom of God. Be The Good Example
I go the Word of God for this teaching of The Good Example and begin in Numbers 14:5-10. In this passage of scriptures the people of God have been charged to go into the land that was promised them
by God except they are afraid. Joshua and Caleb, being the great men of God they were expressed that if God has given it to us it is ours. We as the people of God have to be that model to the world to advance the Kingdom.  The Good Example.
As we go back to the Word of God for this teaching of the Good Example I go to Job 1:13-22. In this passage Job has just lost as all that he had and could just give following God and become part of the
ways of the world. But Job stayed that Good Example. We as the people of God have to be so strong in our positive actions that others will want to imitate us. Be The Good Example.
As we come to the end of the Biblical portion of this teaching of The Good Example I go to 1st Thessalonians 1:6-10. In this passage the church in Thessalonia embraced the teaching of God so
much that close places such as Macedonia and Achaia and others far away saw their example and chose to be part of the Kingdom of God. We as the modern day people of God need to be that illustration of how to live the life of Christ. The Good Example.
In closing the people of God have an assignment to spread the gospel of Christ and the best way is to be the Good Example by going the extra mile, turning that cheek, opening our heart, being honest about things and being faithful in the most stressful situations. The people who do not know Christ would see these things and want to know what you are all about. Be that Good Example. Part 1. Have great week all. You can check out the Good Example Part 2 on my blog called Brand New Week. Brand New Attitude.

Victory is Yours

Good morning and Thankful Thursday. Today I am here to encourage each and everyone today on what have. You are Champions in every aspect of your life. You are above and never beneath any one or any thing. You shall exceed and succeed in all that you do. You are never a punk or never afraid. All that you do God is there for you. No matter the situation or what seems you shall win. Victory is Yours.
See the enemy wants you to have a defeated attitude when that is not what the life of a person of faith. He wants you to not even try to succeed in arts and entertainment, business, media, religion,
government, family and education. There is nothing in this earth that we cannot have as long as we know that God is our Father, the Jesus is our Savior and the Holy Spirit is here to guide us we are winners. Victory is Yours.
In going to the Word of God for this teaching of Victory is Yours I go to Leviticus 26:3-10. In this passage of scriptures God is telling those who walk with him that you have nothing to fear and an
abundance of blessings. We as a people of faith will not fail at beginning that new television show, or that new business venture or that new social media site. God has guaranteed success for those who walk with Him. Victory is Yours.
In continuing this teaching of Victory is Yours from the Word of God I go to 1st Corinthians 15:50-57. In this passage of scriptures is speaks of how we are to be changes and how death has no power
over us are we have Victory through Christ Jesus. As a people of faith we can change some of the religious things that are not of Christ and even run for that elected office in our governments. Victory is Yours.
In coming to the end of the Biblical portion of Victory is Yours I go Galatians 5:15-26. In this passage of scripture it speaks of how we should walk in the spirit and not in the ways of the world.
We as men and women of faith can be assured that we can make a difference when it comes to helping families and to begin that school that we were lead to begin by Holy Spirit. Victory is Yours.
In closing we as a people of faith have to bask in the knowledge that we are winners in every sense of the word. Our walk our Father God is a great way to continue be victorious. Or belief that Jesus died for our sins is a sure way to guarantee that we continue to have victories. And in letting the Holy Spirit lead us instead of the ways of the world will always have victory. I give God all the honor and glory for this teaching and ask him to bless all who may read this teaching.

Growing Pains

Good afternoon and Thankful Thursday. As a boy I remember how I was becoming a teen. My voice started getting deeper. My attraction towards girls got more intense. And my commitment to God was becoming less. I was going through what some would call Growing Pains.
In beginning this teaching I want to define the phrase Growing Pains and I will go to my source of definitions and that is dictionary.com. Growing pains means as follows; dull pain of varying degree
in limbs during childhood, emotional difficulties experienced during adolescence; and difficulties attending to rapid development. As a men and women of faith there are times when we still have Growing Pains.
In going to the Word of God for this teaching of Growing Pains I begin in Exodus 15:22-24. The people of God has just sang songs about how heroic Moses and Miriam were and three days later
they were complaining about lack of water. We as a people of God at times have varying degrees of pain early on in our walk with Christ and have been known to have Growing Pains.

In going back to the Word of God for the teaching of Growing Pains I go to Ezra 9:1-3. In this passage after the people of God received a special blessing and was able to return to their land they
begin to have emotional difficulties experienced during adolescence as they married people that they were not supposed to. As in this passage where it was the leaders who were mostly at fault at times our leaders are leading us into Growing Pains instead of the right direction.
In coming to the conclusion of the Biblical portion of the Word of God for the teaching of Growing Pains I go to Revelation 3:1-3. In this passage Jesus is speaking to John and telling him of the dead
church. The church had already been established but were having difficulties attending to rapid development. This is a problem for the church of today as we are having Growing Pains.
In closing we as a people of God must come up with a plan to defeat the onslaught of Growing Pains. Those new to the Body of Christ at times do not make it three days before the world has reclaimed them. Our leaders are doing things that is not of the Word of God that is stopping the advancement of the Kingdom of God. And some churches are so traditional and waiting for people to come to them rather than go out into the world that they have become dead. Growing Pains must be looked at by all.  I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching and may someone be blessed by this teaching. Amen
