Don't Get High On Your Supply Part 2

Good afternoon and Happy Saturday. As I write this afternoon I am feeling mighty fine. I have three jobs and like them all. I have found me a special friend and things seem to progressing well in our friendship. I am doing well in school and I even have made the Deans list a few times and my GPA is high. I have gained a understanding of math that had often held me back. I am looking to become better at saving more money and to even one day start my own non-profit business. My personal faith based blog Brand New Week, Brand New Attitude is being well received and even though the numbers are not high I am reaching those globally. At this time I am feeling so good about myself and all of my accomplishment that my saliva even taste like sugar. Wait a second I did not do all this on my own. Please do not be like me. Don"t Get High On Your Own Supply.
Many times in our lives we seem to be the one who wants to take credit for our accomplishments in life. This can be especially true of those involved in the promoting of the gospel. That song you led, that teaching you taught or that prayer you

prayed was off the charts.  The accolades you received makes you feel invincible and good about what you did. This happens to all of us but we have to remember that God makes all things possible. In the next three paragraphs I will use examples of Don't Get High On Your Own Supply.

In the first example in the Word of God of Don't Get High On Your Own Supply I go to 1st Samuel 13:4-14. In this passage Saul has not kept the assignment God has given him and by him being disobedient he has no authority any more even though he

still remained King. Yes problems and issues seem to be crumbling the grounds we stand on but we have to continue to perform our assignments no matter how big or small. Don't Get High On Your Own Supply because God will take things you have established and replace you.

In looking at the second example in the Word of God of Don't Get High On Your Own Supply I go to Jonah 4:1-11. In this passage Jonah is very angry about his assignment about going to the West Side of Chicago, or

the projects or to those who do not know God. He felt remorse for a plant that he had no part of more so for any lost soul no matter what race creed or color they may be/ What God has for you to do it must be done. Don't Get High On Your Own Supply.

In looking at the last example in the Word of God for Don't Get High On Your Supply I go Acts 8:9-19. In this passage Simon the Sorcerer has accepted Christ as his Savior but sees where there is power unlimited

and he wants to use this to further his teachings, his voice, his ministry. God is all mighty and magnificent but we have to use his power to advance the kingdom not our own agenda. Don' Get High On Your Own Supply.

In closing I had to let go of where I wanted to be placed at. I wanted teach inside the four walls inside the church but God initially placed me in a building downtown to be a light to the thousands while working in a low paid position. I wanted to work in a high rise building but God placed me in a high school to motivate students at one time. I wanted to stay in my position where I was at to get my Christmas bonus but God wanted me to come where I am at and become part of the mentor program here at where I know work at. I have not taught in any classroom yet I am able to teach the Word of God. I had to release myself from getting high on my own supply and allow God to use me in any and every way that he can. Allow God to use you and watch how things change. I give God all the honor and glory for this teaching and thank Superintendent Elizabeth Hope for allowing me this vehicle to not only teach but be an editor for other teachers. Groudhog Day ( What Do You See )

Good afternoon and Happy Saturday all. Today is February 1st 2014 and by this being the second month of the year we know of three things that are going to happen this month. One of them happens next weekend as the NBA Allstar weekend will occur. Then on tomorrow there will be a game played between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks called the Super Bowl to determine the World Champion. But tomorrow there is one more thing that also happens every year. Punxsutawney Phil will come out of a hole in the morning and according to the forecasters and all the media attention that this will receive will tell us all if there is to be a early spring or a severe winter on a day most observers call Groundhogs Day. As a person of faith, a Christian I do not hold any beliefs in the vision sights and forecasting of the groundhog. But I want to ask you all this day as Christians, What Do You See.

In the world today there are many visions, sights and forecast that one can get confused. You had someone who had the vision to create robotic dog called Zoomer that was one of the hottest toys of the holiday season and you still would have to overpay today to get one. You have the sights of snow and ice hitting normal areas and not so normal area such as Atlanta. And you have people forecasting who will win the Super Bowl, by how many points, who will score first etc. As Christians we have to be able to have visions that line up with God. We must have the sight to know what to do in a particular situation. And we must be able to know the forecast that is provided by us daily by the Holy Spirit. In the following paragraphs I will give 3 example of Groudhog Day ( What Do You See ).

In looking at the Word of God first go 2nd Kings 7:1-2. In this passage Elisha has been sent a vision by God to tell the people that God will feed them no matter how dark it looks. There is a naysayer in the kingdom and he is high ranking so he attempts to discourage as many do now. But just because he will not eat does not mean you will not either. Trust in God not a groundhog. ( What Do You See ).

In looking at the second example from the Word of God I go to Ezekiel 47:1-11 and see where God has given Ezekiel , the watchman a sight that shows how God can create healing waters before it has even happened. Ezekiel was not one of the prophets to have returned back to the land so the sights he saw were to be passed on to others who love God and not some groundhog. ( What Do You See ).

In the last example from the Word of God I go to Luke 12:54-56. We as Christians know that Christ does exist and he is coming again some day. As there is also heaven here on earth there are those who seek to dispel that notion and forecast that Jesus is a myth. These are those hypocrites Jesus forecast of back then and they still are around today posing as groundhogs. ( What Do You See).

In closing God can make your visions social media, business, and education come to pass and he even said so in his Word ( Habakkuk 2:2-3 ). God can make your sights of doing something in religion and government be fulfilled even if you may not believe ( Habakkuk 1:5 ). The forecast for those doing things in the area of family and arts and entertainment looks to be ripe for you as well ( Habakkuk 3: 17-19 ). I ask you again, There are those who see you as a groundhog and attempt to place you in hole and ask your opinion for one day a year or continue your walk with God and then tell me, What Do You See. I give God all the glory for this teaching and providing with the vision to see the title, the sight to find the scriptures and the forecast to provide me some quiet time.
