What Would You Do?

Good afternoon and Thankful Thursday. I was talking with a friend of mine over lunch and she was telling me about a television show called What Would You Do, The show came out in 2008 and had solid ratings as it had 8 million viewers and ranked #81 when it first came out. The shows is a hidden camera show that depicts difficult situations and see how people would react. Some intervene while others look the other way or ignore what is going on. There are so many things that we as a people of God see that is not right and am I challenging myself as well as you, when you see these things, What Would You Do?
There are so many times that I am riding public transportation or walking downtown in Chicago that I see a number of men and women who need help. Some are not ashamed and will beg for whatever
a person can give them. Others walk around aimlessly without a purpose and even others are not in their right mind. As members of the Body of Christ is our job to help them. What Would You Do?
As I come into the Word of God for this teaching of What Would You Do I go to Luke 10:30-31. In this verse Jesus tells of the story of how a man was robbed and beaten and was left for dead. We see
that a priest saw him and went to the other side. When we as the Body of Christ see that our youth are being robbed of getting to know Christ and are taken a beating with how people perceive them are we just going to continue to let it happen. What Would You Do?
As we continue with this teaching of What You Do I go to Luke 10:33. In this verse another person who has a connection to God, a Levite sees the man and also crosses to the other side to avoid the
the same man who was robbed and beaten. There are some facilities that are supposed to be taking care of our elderly and we work there or see these things and do nothing but are members of the Body of Christ. What Would You Do?
As we come to the end of the Biblical portion of this teaching of What Would You Do I go to Luke 10:33-35. In these verses a Samaritan, of a people who were reviled by the people of God for lack of
being pure, comes along and helps the man by doing above and beyond. We as the people of God are not going above and beyond like the enemy is and therefore we are losing precious ground. What Would You Do?
In closing there are so many people who need we as the people of God to step up. If you cannot feed or provide money for the homeless then pray for them. There are so many programs that are looking for mentors for youths and if you cannot give time give what ever resources that you can. There are so many of our senior citizens that are being treated poorly by their living arrangements in these assisted living places that we need to become involved with our elected officials to stop this or take it upon ourselves to protest these conditions. Because if we do not the enemy will continue to have some victories. What Would You Do should become What We Have Done. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching.

The Love of AstroTurf

Good afternoon and Fabulous Friday. The neighborhood that I grew up in had a high school football stadium named Gately Stadium. This stadium had a lot of seats, a concession stand and even a scoreboard. The one thing that stood out to me was the field surface. It was AstroTurf. It was amazing to me because I thought that all outdoor sports was played on a grass field but this surface was new to me and I fell in love with AstroTurf. I was young and did not know that is was synthetic and not real. The world is doing things that are placing a premium on things not of God and God is not happy. It is like we have a Love of AstroTurf.
As much as AstroTurf looks like real grass it is not. AstroTurf does not grow so there is no need to cut it as it will not grow. When you have AstroTurf there is no need for weedkillers because there are
none. And AstroTurf does not need to be watered on a daily basis. There are things in the world that are not real and we as the people of God are falling for them. This teaching will be coming from Jeremiah 17:3-8. The Love of Astroturf.
As we begin this teaching of The Love of AstroTurf we begin in Jeremiah 17:3-4. In these verses God is upset as the people of God are doing things not of God such as building sex shrines to false
god's. The world today has placed sex on such a high pedestal as it is in most music, pop culture and even in movies and television that you would think it was the most important thing ever, The Love of AstroTurf.

Continuing this teaching of The Love of AstroTurf I back to the Word of God and Jeremiah 17:5-6. In these verses it tells of how God is displeased when we trust in man and our hearts depart from him
that there are not no good things we will see. The world has conditioned us to do have artificial hair, body parts and even "reality shows" that are not real. The Love of AstroTurf.
7
And we come to conclusion of this teaching of The Love of AstroTurf I go to the Word of God and Jeremiah 17:7-8. In these verses Jeremiah speaks of the people of God who despite the ways of the
continues to trust in the Lord. We the people of God must hold our ground and not be pulled in by the ways of the world and continue to place our trust on God and not in things that are not real. The Love of AstroTurf.
In conclusion we as the people of God are like grass. Grass has to be cut when it gets to big. Grass has to watch for weeds as it grows. Grass have to be watered. When we get too big in the head God will cut us down. When there are weeds (troubles in our lives) God protects us and removes them. When we need to be watered (blessings and favor) God provides that as well. The people of the world like AstroTurf think that they need none of these things. Are we going to trust God or things that are not real. The Love of AstroTurf is not good for it is loving something that is not real. I want to give God all the glory and honor for this teaching. I give my spiritual sister Treka a big hand for helping me with the title of this teaching after God had given me the Word he wanted to go forth. Have a great weekend all. Happy Father's Day Weekend. Please join Rhema Word 2.0 for a teaching from one its teachers and if you can come by Valley Kingdom Ministries International for Rhema Word 2.0 before services and after services. And if not attend Sunday School some place.

I Thought I Changed Until....

Good afternoon and Thankful Thursday. As a person who loves food I have a hard time when the doctor tells me I have to watch what I eat. So for a while there I was doing well. My friend Chef S. bought me scale, I had a strictly fiber diet and I ate more vegetables and fruits and even balked my chicken with no salt. But then I started getting back into the bad habits of fast foods, sweets and drinking soda pops. These things are not good for me and I know it. Well the bad eating habits are nothing compared to some of the things that should have been gone when I gave my life to God but still slip and do. I Thought I Was Changed Until.....
You see although I am not following the doctors orders that is the least of my worries. You see I came from a life of sin that would make most men and women shake their heads. So when I gave my
back over to God certain things I knew that I needed to be gone forever have started to try to inch their way back in my life and I am scared. I Thought I Changed Until.......
As I go into the Word of God for this teaching of I Thought I Changed Until.... I begin in John 8:34. In this verses Jesus tells the people of God that the if you sin, you are a slave to sin. You see with the
recent running of the Triple Crown races I wanted to try to make some extra money but would us losing money. This was something I Thought I Changed Until.........
As I continue with this teaching of I Thought I Had Until I go to Romans 6:1-2. In these verses we see where Paul writes that once saved from sin that we should not continue in sin. You see there are
are times when I still have said some things to my friend Chef S. that should never come out of my mouth by me being not only a man of God but a teacher of the Word of God.
As we come to the end of the Biblical portion of this teaching of I Thought I Changed Until.... I go to Titus 3:3. In this verse it speaks of the things that we may have been when we were in the life of sin.
You see there are times that I am disobedient to some and lust after others, This is not the life that I am supposed to be living. I Thought I Changed Until....
In conclusion I had to take closer look at myself and cannot be fooled by the tricks of the devil. You see as easy as money can come from betting it could just as easily go. You see talking to someone you care for any kind of way will have you lose them completely. And being tempted by lust of the flesh and being disobedient to God's will not allow your blessings and favor to come and you may not enter the kingdom of Heaven. Don't be like me, Be strong. I Thought I Changed Until..... I give God all the honor and the glory for this teaching. Look forward to from a teacher of Rhema Word 2.0 on next week and please join us at Valley Kingdom Ministries International for Rhema Word 2.0 or the Sunday School of your choice.

Stir It Up

Good afternoon and Wonderful Wednesday. As a child there was time that I would visit and spend the night with my grandparents. Most times it would be on the weekends and one of the things that I loved was when my grandmother baked cakes. She would have to add all the ingredients to the mixing bowl and once that was done she did something that filled the air. She would stir up the ingredients and the smell would make us all wanting to taste the finished product. As members of the Body of Christ there is an urgency to change the atmosphere from the despair that seems to going on now to one of love. We have a responsibility to Stir It Up.
As we get into this teaching of I want to define the key word in this teaching and that is stir. I go to my source of definitions and that is dictionary.com. The word stir means as follows; to affect
strongly, to excite, and to rouse from inactivity. As a people of faith we want to affect strongly what it means to be connected to God. We have to be excited about being part of the Body of Christ so others want to know how to become part of it. And we have to rouse from inactivity some of us who think that we have no work to do for the kingdom of God.
As we go to the Word of God for this teaching of Stir It Up I begin in Luke 23:3-5. In these verse the powers that be accuse Jesus of being the King of the Jews and of stirring up the crowd from Judea
and beginning in Galilee. We as a people of faith need to think less about locally and attempt to affect  strongly having the gospel being spread globally. We have to Stir It Up.
As we continue this teaching of Stir It Up we go back to the Word of God and to Acts 12:16-18. In these verses Peter has made it back to tell others of his release but has stirred up those who had him
imprisoned. We as the Body of Christ need to be so excited about how he has released us from the things that held us back that we should be telling our testimony to the whole world. Stir It Up.
In coming to the end of the Biblical portion of this teaching of Stir It Up I go to Hebrews 10:23-25. In these verses it tells of stirring up love and good works those who are in the Body of Christ. When we
fellow members who are not doing the work of God we need to exhort them with love and rouse them from inactivity. Its going to take a total effort to from everyone to spread the gospel. Stir It Up.
As we come to conclusion of this teaching of Stir It Up in 2nd Timothy 1:6-7 it tells us to Stir Up the gift of God and that we have power, love and a sound mind. We as people of faith must affect strongly the teachings of God to the world. We the Body of Christ have a commitment to excite others about how great it is to be connected to Christ. And we must rouse from inactivity those members of the Body of Christ who are not helping spread the gospel. Stir It locally. Stir It Up nationally. Stir It Up globally. Stir It Up. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching and ask him to bless all. Have a great week.
