Thrown From Your High Horse

Good evening and Happy Friday everyone. I want to share a story with you. The company I do security for has plants across the nation. One of the plants has a contractor who for years bullied the plant and the company by doing what he wanted to on some of the projects that needed to be done to keep the plant operable. The contractor would sometimes would not do the work in the time it was needed to be done. The contractor would sometimes go over budget. And the contractor would disagree on what he should be expected to do. So the plant had a disaster ( a fire ) and the work needed to fix the plant is in the millions of dollars.  But the contractor was not allowed to do any work in the rebuilding because of his previous actions towards the company. The contractor was Thrown From His High Horse.
Many times we as people of God get in the same mode as the contractor. We see that work needs to be done but we refuse to do it in a timely fashion. We do some things that are over the top. And we all tend to
disagree on the ways we affect and advance the Kingdom of God. We have gotten high and mighty and God has a way of bringing people down to the level that fits them. The next three paragraphs will give examples of  those in the Word of God who were Thrown From A High Horse.
In the first example of being Thrown From a High Horse I go to Jeremiah 28:10-17. In this passage you have Hananiah telling the people things that God did not give him the authority to say. Many of us tend to be
so knowledgable about the Word of God that we look at things like Sunday School as not being necessary to further advance the Kingdom of God. That kind of thinking gets us Thrown From Our High Horse.

In looking at the next example of Thrown From A high Horse I go to Micah 2:1-5. In these verses the people are taken advantage by those who want to go over the budget. These things are still going on today
as we look at outsiders, those who are not saved, as not being privy to things that we have and refuse to show them how to get to know God. Going to extra mile just to help yourself is going to get you Thrown From Your High Horse.
In looking at the last example of Thrown From Your High Horse I go Matthew 23:1-11. In this passage Jesus speaks of those who continue to want to appear that their laws and actions are of God and it is not so.
Many times there are so many rules and regulations that are practiced in the name of religion that inhibit all of us from even worshipping together. And these disagreements will not only stop the Kingdom of God from advancing but also have God look for the ones who are responsible for these actions and have them Thrown From Their High Horse.
In conclusion God seeks those who are humble and will honor his Word. As the contractor lost out on a chance to maybe invest some of the millions in his company we as people of God have allowed pride and time to get in the way. Sunday School is a part of worship and should be attended regularly. We should be showing others how to obtain favor with God instead of trying to keep it a secret. And there are so many different factions within the body of Christ there is no cohesion to step out of the norm and into ways to advance the Kingdom of God. That what this is really about. Advancing the Kingdom. Not getting Thrown From Your High Horse. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching and pray you all had a great 1st half of the year.

The Goodness of God

Good afternoon and Wonderful Wednesday. As some of you know I am currently enrolled in online classes to obtain my college degree. Between working two jobs and trying to finish my second book as well as blogging at times it could be a bit much. This semester was especially challenging because both my courses were 10 week classes instead of one being 5 and the other being 10 as I had been used to. So there was an apprehension on my part as to if I would be able to handle it. And it is a possibility that I would not have if not for the Goodness of God.
In looking up the word goodness I go to my source of definitions and that is dictionary.com. The word goodness means as follows; excellence of quality, the best part of anything, and kindness or generosity. See
I went through some things this semester but God showed me his excellence of quality. I wanted to give up but God is the best part of anything. And when things looked as low as they could get he showed his kindness or generosity.
In looking at the first example in the Word of God of the Goodness of God I go to Job 36:1-23. In this passage Elihu tells all of the Goodness of God even as God has seemed to turn his back on Job. This
semester I wrote a 8 page paper along with two pages of references for one of my courses. The instructor gave me a grade of 40% out of 100%. I was crushed and wanted to withdraw but what man may not like God considers it excellence of quality. I pushed forward because of the Goodness of God.
In looking at the second example in the Word of God of the Goodness of God I go to Psalms 65. In this Psalm the writer speaks of how God provides salvation for those in need. While in transit to my other job I
lost the book to my other course and the book cost over 70.00 dollars and I could not use my book voucher. But God showed me the best part of anything as I did the best I could without the book. The Goodness of God.
In the last example of this teaching of the Goodness of God I go to Proverbs 4:1-2. In these verses the writer speaks of instructions received from the Father, God. There was also the pressure of the hours at work I
and how I would be able to keep up with the added pressures of the course that both were now ten weeks. But God was there to provide kindness and generosity in allowing to me to finish the semester. The Goodness of God.

In closing I had been on the Dean's list since going back to school and that was important to me. The lowest final grade I had was a C and that was another time when I had lost a book. But the Goodness of God allowed me to obtain a 91.01% in a class where I received a grade on 40% on one and 70% on another. The Goodness of God allowed me to receive a final grade of 95.23% even though I had lost the book. The Goodness of God allowed me to stay on the Dean's list in spite of working two jobs and being extremely tired. The Goodness of God has done so much for us all and can for those who have yet to know God. We can be that example and advance the kingdom of God by telling others of his goodness. Have a great week all.

Rhema Word 2.0 Recognizes A Father To Many ( Apostle H. Daniel Wilson)

Good evening everyone and Wonderful Wednesday. As we continue to move further into the year I want to share something with you. I am the father to two sons and was not the best at raising them. Life issues and a lack of focus on the importance of fatherhood was why I was not successful at being a father. But the biggest problem was ending my relationship with God and turning to the world. As I began to turn my life around one of the biggest reasons was the teachings at Valley Kingdom Ministries International. All who bring a Word of God have an anointing from God but the person who is the Spiritual Father to many, Apostle H. Daniel Wilson is truly has a special anointing. So on this day before the Father's Day weekend Rhema Word 2.0 wants to recognize the Father of Many, Apostle H. Daniel Wilson.

Since 1984 Apostle Wilson has been the person who has been leading Valley Kingdom Ministries International. I first met him not as a member but while I was working the parking lot at one of  the locations.
He was cordial then and even now. I often wonder how he has the time to be a wonderful father to his own family yet alone to the many. In the next three paragraphs I will give examples from the Word of God to illustrate how Apostle H. Daniel Wilson is the Father To Many and Rhema Word. 2.0 recognizes him.

In looking in the Word of God to see how Apostle Wilson is A Father To Many we go to Genesis 6:13-22. In this passage God gives instructions to Noah on how he wants him to build an ark for him and his family to
be able to survive and eventually prosper. When Apostle Wilson came to New Christian Valley M.B. church in 1984 he was following a vision that God had given him. Apostle Wilson is A Father To Many because he provides us all with a vision that has been given to him by God.

In looking at the second example coming from the Word of God I go to 1st Kings 3:4-15. In this passage Solomon whose heart was true to God, asked only for only wisdom to help him understand his people. In
the years since Apostle Wilson has been at Valley Kingdom God has given him wisdom the lead the flock out of Harvey and into South Holland Illinois in 1990. It was not easy as the enemy tried to play tricks and stall the sale but the wisdom that God has given to Apostle Wilson made the move happen. Apostle Wilson, A Father To Many.

In looking at the last example in the Word of God of A Father To Many I go to 2nd Corinthians 10:1-6. In this passage the writer Paul is speaking of a spiritual war that many of us have experienced. Apostle Wilson
has gone to spiritual war for each and every member of his flock. When the church had graffiti with racial slurs as it was being built Apostle Wilson, being A Father To Many,  held his ground and led the church into Oak Forest Illinois in 1996. Apostle Wilson is A Father To Many.
In closing Rhema Word 2.0 and Superintendent Hope, and Assistant Superintendent Armstrong ( Valley Kingdom East ) and Assistant Superintendent Bell ( Valley Kingdom West ) would like to thank Apostle H. Daniel Wilson on being A Father To Many. Apostle Wilson vision, wisdom and spiritual warfare, has helped many at Valley Kingdom Ministries and we at Rhema Word 2.0 want Apostle Wilson to know we appreciate him and love him. Happy Father's Day Weekend Dad. May God continue to bless you in all your endeavors.

The Old Has a Hold

Good evening and Thankful Tuesday. I was talking a friend of mine and it seems he has a problem. He has met a fantastic women who he has a lot in common with. The woman is a believer of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. They have meshed into a great unit in over a year's time. Like any couple they are going through growing pains. One of the issues that creeps up in their budding relationship is that the old girlfriend continues to be a part of the equation. The new lady is angry and continues to tell my friend that the Old Has a Hold is in his life.
Many of us as people of faith may not have an old girlfriend/boyfriend that seems to be an issue with our relationship with God but there are surely other things that get in the way. That "little white lie" that you told.
Or those lottery numbers that you play on the daily. Or that mouth that when you get mad you not only told the person off, you cussed them out so bad that they cried. See these are things that can stop us from not only receiving our blessings but doing what we are supposed to, advance the kingdom. It is because the Old Has a Hold. Three examples in three paragraphs next.
In looking at the first example in the Word of God of The Old Has a Hold I go the Deuteronomy 1:19-33. In this passage even after being freed the chosen people of God looks to go back the land that held them in
captivity. My friend continues to accept calls from the old girlfriend without the knowledge of the new girlfriend. Some of us still lust after others, live at the boat/casino and abuse alcohol, things that should have been let go once we were born again. Like the people back then,The Old Has A Hold.
In looking at the next example in the Word of God of The Old Has a Hold I go to 2nd Kings 10:29-31. It tell  how Jehu did not turn away from everything that was not pleasing to God. My friend at times has lunch
with his ex girlfriend without the new girlfriend knowing. Many of us Christians are still fighting each other, telling on others to get ahead and being jealous of others. Things that should have left when we got saved but The Old Has a Hold.

In looking at the last example of The Old Has a Hold in the Word of God I go to John 18:38-40. After Pilate could not find anything wrong with Jesus the people prefer to have things the way they were and chose
Barabbas to live. My friend still helps his ex-girlfriend financially without the new girlfriend knowing. Many people of faith cheat, look down at the youth and seniors, and continue to do things not of God because The Old Has a Hold.
As I come to a close my friend wonders why he cannot prosper in his life. He wants to start his own business, make a difference in government and do something in arts and entertainment but there is nothing but closed doors. He wants to make a difference in social media and in education but he still fails to make inroads. He wants to become active with families and religion but cannot seem to find any way to enter them. It probably is because The Old Has A Hold and the newness God has for him will not happen until he gets rid of the old mess. And that relationship that he thought he had is now gone because everything was found out. Although the it took the new girlfriend a while to find out God sees all immediately. Let that old hold go. May God bless all those who may read this teaching. I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching. Please attend Sunday School if not here at Valley Kingdom at whatever services you attend. It is a way to help release whatever hold the enemy has on you.
