Why shouldn't we sin if we are forgiven

Why shouldn't we sin if we are forgiven ?

As I go through this journey called life, there comes a time that Holy Spirit prompts us; we come to the realization that there is a God that loved us before we ever knew ourselves and he is offering us an awesome gift, that being eternal life. Some of us have grown up in homes that we have been exposed to God early on and then there are some that did not get introduced to Him until we were teenagers and/or even an adult. No matter when we meet him, the offer is the same, now that you acknowledge me, will you accept me, will you confess that I am your Lord and Savior and do you believe that I am currently sitting on the right hand of the Father making intercession for you. Once we have accepted this free gift our assignment is to worship him, to learn of Him, and be obedient to his will; but what if we sin again ? Do we lose our salvation? And if not, why not continue to sin if we are forgiven?
Let's keep it real, sin felt good; that's why we stayed in it for such a long time !!!

I know that I am saved, God’s word has promised me that, but; I still have the desire to sin and occasionally I still do. I can still remember how good it felt to lie, cheat, and have premarital and adulterous sex; it felt good to gossip and sleeping around while receiving expensive gifts and feeling important; why should we not sin if we are forgiven ?
Because now we don't want to !!!

The minute we become saved something happens, there is an actual change in our spirit man that also affects our physical man, at the very moment we accept Christ, we are born again and we have a helper. We may still be in the same environment but know something is different, we may even be able to do some of the same things, but we are hesitate to do them and if we make the choice to do them, we feel different while doing them; there has been a change, a transformation in the spirit realm concerning you. We may find ourselves in the dope house and all of a sudden you have to get out, you may even be in the very act of committing fornication and or adultery and you can't continue with the act, your girlfriend has called and wants to gossip, you don't answer the phone; with the help of Holy Spirit you are being transformed. I thought I was going crazy, as I began to talk to God and study His word, He imparted his will in me, I could no longer do the things that were common to me, sin had no place in my life and if I committed sin it was like an upset stomach, it didn't sit right with me, I was spiritually nauseated to the point that I had to throw up. We must run to the bathroom of God and throw up our sin through repentance because if sin is allowed to stay in our systems too long it will become cancerous and fester throughout our bodies; there are consequences to sin !!!

So why should we not sin if we are forgiven, because there are consequences to sin. You may be asked this question, how will you answer ?

Self Worth ( How Valuable are You)

Good evening everyone and Happy Saturday. I consider it an honor and  pleasure to be do a teaching here on Rhema Word 2.0. I had talked to a friend today and she was not in the best of moods. This happens often to each of us as others in our lives may not have the same value that you have on your life. A case in point is on yesterday my younger son and I went someplace together and when we had gotten there we had a chance to sit. As we are sitting and waiting I had asked my son to use his phone because mine had been sent back to repair my camera on my phone. When he handed me the phone he had no idea on whom I was calling. As I finished dialing the number a name popped up that at the time surprised me but it should not have. The number I dialed was to my own phone and the name that my son ascribed to my name was Deadbeat. I realized that at one time in his life that is what I was to him and his older brother. Our relationships have gotten better but I knew where he was coming from because I knew my self worth. Many of us, those who know God and those who do not need to look inside yourself and find your Self Worth ( How Valuable are You ).
In looking at the meaning of the word self-worth I go to freedictionary.com and self-worth means as follows; the sense of one's own value or worth as a person, self esteem; self-respect. There are times when we have to celebrate our own accomplishments. God did not put us here on this earth to not enjoy milestones and goals we have reached. We have to think highly of ourselves and it can be done without being vain or brash. We have to respect things that deal with us on a personal level. We must identify our Self Worth ( How Valuable are You ).
In looking in the Word of God I begin by looking at Jeremiah 1:4-10. Even though Jeremiah is just a child God has an assignment for him and it only could be accomplished by Jeremiah trusting God to know what his value was to the people of God. There are many things you have accomplished even if you have others who do not feel the same way about you. Your self-worth begins when you see your value and not what others see in you. God sees and hears all. There are some in your life who do not mean well no matter if you treated them well or ignored them You must have a sense of your value. Self-Worth ( How Valuable are You ).
In looking at the Word of God again I go to Isaiah 38:1-9 and see King Hezekiah is not only going to die but also in harms way of losing his kingdom to the Assyrians, the most powerful force on the land at that time. Hezekiah not only received a gift of more years from God but was able to regain his self- esteem that had been threatened by the mighty Assyrian army. On this day there may be a neighborhood against you for your belief in God, your co-workers may question the way you are and even the government may get mad at you for praying in public but God has given you some self-esteem to see what is your actual Self-Worth ( How Valuable are You ).
In looking in the Word of God one final time I go to Matthew 15:21-28. In this passage a woman who is not even considered one of God's chosen people comes to Jesus and ask him to heal her daughter from her sickness. Her self-respect could have gotten in the way as Jesus told her that he could not help her. But even though not one of the chosen people she pressed on until her child was healed. Today you may not have accepted Jesus as your personal Savior but I am here to tell you that he still sees your needs and hears your prayers. Your self-respect is part of your Self-Worth.
In closing you have to know that God has placed you on this earth to be a mighty warrior such a Joshua and Deborah. He has provided you with doing much with little such as he did Gideon. He has made you a Champion as he did David. He has given us wisdom as he did Solomon. He has allowed us to teach as he allowed Ezra to teach. He allowed Jesus to not only die for our sins but to be a mediator for us as well. He has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us. He has made us bold as he did Paul and Stephen. He has made us a royal generation. Our Self-Worth is the most valuable thing we all have. If you cannot feel good about yourself then how can you feel good about any of the things I mentioned above. Look at yourself and smile. Hug yourself and appreciated how far you have come and you have things you still want to do. And shout out loud and say I AM A CHAMPION!!! May God bless this teaching and I give him all the glory and the honor for this teaching that he has given me. You are valuable. Remember that.

God’s “Great Commission.”

To The Called Ones (Teachers)
Blessings to all, I  am Elder Lois Armstrong and I am Assistant Superintendent of Rhema Word 2.0 at Valley Kingdom Ministries International East location.

Today as I ponder over Matthew 28:19-21, and the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the fire in me is ignited.  Jeremiah had an experience with the fire producing Word of God, in Jeremiah 20:9.  God’s word is alive, and sharper than a two-edge sword. [Hebrew 4:12].
2nd Timothy 4:2 tell us, to Preach (Teach) in season and out of season.  As God’s called teachers, we are commissioned to teach, even when it seem that we are not being received.  We are mandated to teach, one or two students, just as we are teaching one hundred. The burning fire of God word, will propel a called teacher to teach.
We may have to teach in unheard of places.  Places such as, on the job, lunchrooms and possibly bathrooms.  I have taught and prayed, outside and inside of courtrooms.  We must be ready to teach, whenever, and wherever, there is a need.   Jesus taught, in a boat, on a mountain, from a little girl’s sick room, in the streets, and at the grave site of a friend.  He taught wherever there was a need.
We as called Teachers, must be passionate about the privilege of teaching the Word of God.   John 1:1 tells us, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”  We should rejoice, that we are considered worthy, to be able teach God’s Word.
Three reasons why teaching is so important?
1.      When we teach the Word of God we are teaching Jesus (John 1:1), He is the Word.
2.      We are commission by Jesus Himself, to teach. (Matthew 28:18-21)
3.      We are to make disciples of all nations, by teaching.  Teaching is a part of the disciple making formula.
As God’s called teachers, we are not teaching to be seen, we are teaching so that Jesus may be seen, through our teaching of God’s written Word.  It’s for Him, we serve.

Enlarge Your Circle

On this morning after a excellent sermon by Apostle H. Daniel Wilson called Family Matters, Fight for Your Family, I had to an assignment this morning to observe a Rhema Word 2.0 class and the class was for the teens who are in high school. And I came away myself having learned something myself this morning. The lesson entitled Enlarge Your Circle was informative and entertaining.
The instructors, Teacher Carl H. and Teacher Robin B. started the class by having a young man pray to start the class. This is important because it gets the class involved right off. After briefing the class about the title Teacher Carl and Teacher Robin showed a video through a Internet feed. This is
an example of how young people learn today and that is visually. The video focused on issues most teens who attend church do not have to always to worry about issues such as hunger and homelessness. Seeing this video was a eye opener and I came away impressed.
The instructors then asked questions such as what is your immediate response, do you have empathy and what kind of action as a Christian would you take. Teacher Carl and Teacher Robin then broke the students into focus groups to see what responses the students would have. Once again this
allowed the students to be active in the class and provided a learning experience for all involved. The instructors then had members of the class to read from Galatians 5:22-25 and Luke 14:12-23 ( I even read one myself ). To close it out the instructors asked the students to think about using more humility and to have more hospitality for they are going to school with students who may not have the money to buy a lot of clothes, may not have a place to stay or may even hunger for food.
In closing I would like to commend Teacher Carl H. and Teacher Robin B. for allowing the Holy Spirit to use them as vessels for such an awesome teaching. The use of video to helped with instructions, the class setting with the class breaking out in focus groups was different in a good way and the instilling of words such as humility and hospitality are words that exemplifies how Christ lived and how we should live as well. As Apostle Wilson mentioned Proverbs 22:6 in his sermon, Teacher Carl and Teacher Robin are helping the Valley  Kingdom Ministries International, Rhema Word 2.0 and the body of Christ achieve this. Great job Teacher Carl. H. and Teacher Robin. I look forward to attending this class again for today I Enlarged My Circle. May God bless you all your days and pour back into the both of you that you poured out. Please join me next week as I observe another class to feature on the Rhema Word 2.0.

In today’s society kids do not have to ask an adult a question to receive an answer.  They can simply get on a computer and search the internet on any subject that they are curious about.  When I was younger, parents used to tell children we were not old enough to receive an answer for a question we might have asked, so we would go outside and ask our friends and get the answer.  Later on in life you discovered that 90% of the answers you accumulated from your friends were totally incorrect.  Sadly the same can occur with our children today with the internet, only the information that they discover on the internet can be ten times more harmful to them than the information our friends gave to us. Our children do not have to communicate with us. A child can simply type up their questions on their electronic device. So if you have an open line of communication with your child do not shut them down.
We as parents and Christian parents must be careful and not let the enemy misinform our children.  Once the information is downloaded into our brain we are made to respond to the data received.  If a child comes and asks you a question, they have most likely been pondering on this subject for days, weeks or even months before coming out and asking you.  Telling them that they’re not ready to discuss that topic is foolish.  If they are old enough to ask they are old enough to know.  It’s up to us to know how to use Godly wisdom when giving a response.  This is our time to instill God’s Kingdom wisdom into their minds.
Another trick from the enemy is that he has our mind centered on age instead of maturity.  Children today are smarter then ever before.  We can’t base our answers to them just on age but rather on how mature they are. Some children are exposed to certain things that other children are not that causes their minds to think about what they have seen or heard.  You have to pray and ask God how to love, teach and even discipline the child. He has given you.  Often we only use His name Creator for the earth habitation but it was not man and woman alone that created your child.  God says that even before we were in our mother’s womb He knew us.  So if He knew our children before we did,  why not consult Him on how to raise them?
Every other report in the news is about a child being killed, missing or committing a crime. Every program including cartoons has some type of sexual content, verbal misuse, killing or magical powers.  The enemy is constantly in their minds and we have been naive on how to handle their questions.  As parents we must take time out from our schedule to check our children’s spirit. Sit down and talk to them and see what’s been downloaded into their mind.  Most of all, seek God on how to answer every question they ask. Let’s not continue to let the children of the world be wiser than the children of the light.

In Him

Coming Attractions

Good morning and Happy New Year. Rhema Word 2.0 the Sunday School of Valley Kingdom Ministries International is continuing to teach the Word of God with actual classes at both locations and with technology with blogging and our Facebook page. I have not been in a while but the last time I was at the movies before the main show began there were coming attractions. These would show you what was to come in the future and if something interested you then would come back. In this blog we here at Rhema Word 2.0 want to present to you today some of our coming attractions.
In the Year of 2014 Rhema Word 2.0 want you to know that one of the coming attractions to look forward to is the great teachings that you can be part of at Valley Kingdom East in South Holland and
Valley Kingdom West in Oak Forest. In Leviticus 26:10-13 God gives instruction on how to clear out the old to have coming attractions come into your life. In John 10:1-5 Jesus gives us a teaching of having to know his voice to have the coming attractions in your life. Rhema Word 2.0 wants you to be part of the Coming Attractions.
In the Year of 2014 Rhema Word 2.0 will also have the third edition of the Youth Quiz Team Bible Challenge in the summer. This challenge allows the youth to learn about the Bible in a setting that has
them competing for the crown of being the Champion of Rhema Word 2.0 Quiz Team Bible Challenge. In Proverbs 22:6 it speaks of how training a child prepares them for the coming attractions. In Matthew 18:1-5 Jesus speaks of how accepting him early in life prepares the youth for the coming attractions. Rhema Word 2.0 will prepare the youth for the Coming Attractions.
And finally in the Year of 2014 Rhema Word 2.0 will once again have a Sunday School Explosion, teach different classes, like Sign Language, How to Study the Bible, Courageous for Men, and other
courses that will teach and inspire those who are hungry for the Word of God. Also on this blog some of the teachers from Rhema Word 2.0 as well as as Pastors from our Youth Church will be providing teachings.  In Habakkuk 1:5 and Acts 13:40-41 it tells of  how the mighty works of God will provide coming attractions that we cannot even imagine. Rhema Word 2.0 wants you to be part of their Coming Attractions.
So please join us at one of our locations to taught the Word of God after services at East ( dessert )  or come be taught the Word of God at West ( breakfast ) before services. Superintendent Elizabeth Hope has many more coming attractions that you can witness in person or can see here on Rhema Word 2.0 blog or our Facebook page.  May God bless all who read this blog and of course I give God all the glory and honor for this teaching on the Coming Attractions. Have a great year and come by and see us sometimes to be part of our Coming Attractions.
This blog was written by Frederick Wesley who is a contributor to the Rhema Word 2.0 blogs and one of the editors of the Rhema Word 2.0 Facebook page.  He would like to thank God first and foremost and the VKMI family for this awesome opportunity to teach the Word of God through technology.
