Rhema Word Prayer Series

I just wanted to take a few minutes to encourage you as VKMI Rhema Word Ministry move forward in this season with the topic of prayer. What is prayer?  Prayer is simply talking to God and expressing your thoughts to God (see Romans 10:1). Matthew 6:9 and Acts 4:24 It is a form of communication similar in many ways to simply talking except we must remember whom we are addressing and we must meet conditions of acceptable prayer.

For example:  We should Praise God’s Character and Work God’s authority and Lordship – Psalm 86:8-10 God’s power - Dan 2:20-23 God’s holiness, goodness and righteousness – Psalm 86:5-12 God’s mercy, grace, kindness, and willingness to forgive  -Luke 2:37,38. We should pray of behalf of others: For the Sick and suffering (3 John 2  (Gen 20:17,18) For the Elders, deacons, preachers, teachers – Esphesian  6:18-20 – I Thess. 5:25 We should make requests and give thanks  I Peter 5:7 – Cast your cares on God because He cares for you.
Remember to pray specific things God’s will to be done – Matthew 6:9-13 Necessities of life – Matthew 6:11 Forgiveness of sins – Matthew 6:12 Good health – James 5:13-18 Safety in travel -  Act 21:5 Peace - Psalm 122:6 Knowledge, wisdom and understanding of God’s will Psalm 119:169-172.
This is just a few examples of how we as Christians need to pray.  As we continue through this “Season of Fire”  we ought to always pray and ask for God’s will to be done.  We may not fully understand how God controls the universe but those who believe in God must believe is His power to answer prayer. God will answer prayer for you.  He desires to meet your needs and He has made promises to His faithful children.  Continue to pray the things of God and have the faith that your prayer will be answers.

 In Christ we pray,
 Josephine Dickerson
