The Love of AstroTurf

Good afternoon and Fabulous Friday. The neighborhood that I grew up in had a high school football stadium named Gately Stadium. This stadium had a lot of seats, a concession stand and even a scoreboard. The one thing that stood out to me was the field surface. It was AstroTurf. It was amazing to me because I thought that all outdoor sports was played on a grass field but this surface was new to me and I fell in love with AstroTurf. I was young and did not know that is was synthetic and not real. The world is doing things that are placing a premium on things not of God and God is not happy. It is like we have a Love of AstroTurf.
As much as AstroTurf looks like real grass it is not. AstroTurf does not grow so there is no need to cut it as it will not grow. When you have AstroTurf there is no need for weedkillers because there are
none. And AstroTurf does not need to be watered on a daily basis. There are things in the world that are not real and we as the people of God are falling for them. This teaching will be coming from Jeremiah 17:3-8. The Love of Astroturf.
As we begin this teaching of The Love of AstroTurf we begin in Jeremiah 17:3-4. In these verses God is upset as the people of God are doing things not of God such as building sex shrines to false
god's. The world today has placed sex on such a high pedestal as it is in most music, pop culture and even in movies and television that you would think it was the most important thing ever, The Love of AstroTurf.

Continuing this teaching of The Love of AstroTurf I back to the Word of God and Jeremiah 17:5-6. In these verses it tells of how God is displeased when we trust in man and our hearts depart from him
that there are not no good things we will see. The world has conditioned us to do have artificial hair, body parts and even "reality shows" that are not real. The Love of AstroTurf.

And we come to conclusion of this teaching of The Love of AstroTurf I go to the Word of God and Jeremiah 17:7-8. In these verses Jeremiah speaks of the people of God who despite the ways of the
continues to trust in the Lord. We the people of God must hold our ground and not be pulled in by the ways of the world and continue to place our trust on God and not in things that are not real. The Love of AstroTurf.
In conclusion we as the people of God are like grass. Grass has to be cut when it gets to big. Grass has to watch for weeds as it grows. Grass have to be watered. When we get too big in the head God will cut us down. When there are weeds (troubles in our lives) God protects us and removes them. When we need to be watered (blessings and favor) God provides that as well. The people of the world like AstroTurf think that they need none of these things. Are we going to trust God or things that are not real. The Love of AstroTurf is not good for it is loving something that is not real. I want to give God all the glory and honor for this teaching. I give my spiritual sister Treka a big hand for helping me with the title of this teaching after God had given me the Word he wanted to go forth. Have a great weekend all. Happy Father's Day Weekend. Please join Rhema Word 2.0 for a teaching from one its teachers and if you can come by Valley Kingdom Ministries International for Rhema Word 2.0 before services and after services.
